A question worth asking any app before you let it anywhere near your earnings: when does the money actually reach you? For a lot of platforms the answer involves a wallet balance, a payout schedule, a minimum threshold before you can withdraw, or a delay of a few days. On Intra the answer is simpler, because the app was built to stay out of the money entirely.
The rider pays you directly, in cash, at the end of the trip
There's no in-app wallet. There's no "earnings balance" sitting somewhere waiting to be transferred to a bank account. When a trip ends, the rider hands you cash — the exact amount you bid and they accepted — and that's the transaction, complete, in your hand, before you drive off.
Intra never touches the money at any point. It's not collected by the app and redistributed later; it's not held for a day for "processing." It moves directly from the rider's pocket to yours.
What that means in practice
No payout delay. You're not waiting until Friday, or until some threshold is reached, to see what you earned today. Every trip pays out the moment it's done.
No commission coming out of it. Because the money never passes through the platform, there's nothing for the platform to take a cut of on the way through. The number you bid is the number you get.
No bank account or mobile money needed to get paid. If you don't have a bank account, or don't want to link one to a ride-hailing app, that's not a barrier here. Cash in hand doesn't require any of that.
You carry what you earn. This cuts both ways worth being honest about — it also means you're responsible for having change ready and for the normal precautions anyone handling cash fares takes, the same as driving for a taxi base or a centrale always has.
Why this matters for drivers without a bank account or formal ID on file
A lot of driver apps require a linked bank account or card before you can get paid at all, which quietly excludes anyone without one. Intra doesn't have that requirement, because there's no payout step that would need it. If you have a vehicle, a valid licence and a phone, the money side of driving on Intra works exactly like it does driving independently or for a taxi base — paid in hand, trip by trip.
What you still need to track yourself
Since Intra doesn't hold or log a running balance for you, keeping a simple personal record of what you've earned — a notebook, a notes app, whatever works — is worth doing if you want to track your own numbers over a week or a month. The app will show you your trip history, but the actual bookkeeping of your earnings is yours to keep, the same as it would be for any cash-based driving work.
