How to get a taxi in Metro Manila

Open the app, set your pickup point and destination anywhere in the metro — Cubao to Makati, Ortigas to BGC, Quezon City to NAIA, Mall of Asia back to Pasig after the fireworks — and choose car, motorcycle or bus depending on your trip. The app shows you a reference estimate in pesos straight away. Nearby drivers then respond with their own price offers; you pick whichever works best, see your driver's name, vehicle and rating before they arrive, and pay in cash when the trip is done.

Every vehicle type, one app

• Car — the default choice for most trips around Metro Manila, door-to-door with room for luggage or more than one passenger.
• Motorcycle — the option exists in the app, but we should be plain: motorcycle taxis in the Philippines run under a government pilot through accredited platforms (Angkas, JoyRide, Move It, Maxim), and riding for hire outside them is not authorised. For a motorcycle taxi in the metro, use one of those apps; don't expect motorcycle offers on Intra Cab.
• Bus — for groups travelling together in a van or larger vehicle who'd rather not split into separate cars.

Why riders in Metro Manila use Intra Cab

Grab has had Metro Manila largely to itself since 2018 and has far more drivers than we do today. Intra Cab opened in the Philippines in October 2026 and is signing up its first drivers now, so for a while some requests will get few offers, or none, especially outside Makati, BGC, Ortigas and Quezon City. If that happens, keep the app — the more riders request, the faster drivers join, and every new driver sees your request. Running Intra alongside the app you use now costs you nothing.
