Intra Cab is live in Georgetown. As of today, anyone in the city can open the app, post a trip, and get real price offers from drivers nearby — and anyone with a car, a bus or a moto-bike and a valid licence can sign up to drive.
Here is what launched, how it works, and what to expect in the first weeks.
What's live
- Riders can request a car, a moto-bike or a bus anywhere in Georgetown and the surrounding areas — the East Bank out to Diamond and Timehri, the East Coast past Ogle, and across the harbour bridge to Vreed-en-Hoop.
- Drivers can sign up in the same app, get verified with a selfie-with-licence check, and start quoting on trips within minutes of approval.
- Payment is cash, direct from rider to driver, the way Georgetown already pays for a hire car — just with the price agreed on the screen before anyone gets in.
How it works
There is no fixed fare and no surge multiplier. You post where you are and where you're going; drivers near you see it and send the price they'll do it for; you pick the offer you want, with the driver's name, photo, vehicle and rating next to it. Drivers keep the whole fare — Intra Cab takes no commission.

What to expect at first
We're being straight about this: on launch day there are more riders curious about the app than there are drivers on it. Some requests will take a while to get an offer, and some — especially late at night or far from the centre — may get none. That improves with every driver who signs up, which is why the drivers who join now matter most: a rider who gets a quick, fair offer comes back.
