Drive with Intra Cab in Nigeria

Set your own price on every trip and keep all of it. Intra Cab takes no commission — riders pay you directly in cash. Drive a car, a bus, or a motorcycle in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt or anywhere in Nigeria, whenever it suits you.

You set the price, not an algorithm

On most ride apps the fare is calculated for you, the app takes its cut, and you find out what you actually made at the end of the week. Intra works the other way round. A rider posts where they're going — Ikeja to Lekki, Yaba to the Island, Wuse to the airport — and you send the price you'll do that trip for. Every request shows the pickup, the drop-off and the passenger count before you quote, so you always know what you're pricing.

The rider sees your offer next to other drivers' offers and picks one. Third Mainland Bridge at 5pm, rain in Ajah, a late run back from Victoria Island? Quote what's fair for it. Quiet afternoon and the pickup is two streets away? Quote sharper and win the trip.

No commission — you keep the whole fare

There is no platform percentage, no service fee, no daily target and no weekly remittance. The naira figure you agree with the rider is the figure that ends up in your hand, in cash, at the end of the trip. Intra Cab never touches your money, so there's no wallet to cash out and no balance to chase.

Anyone can join

You don't need to be attached to a fleet, a car-hire scheme or a park, and there's no waiting list. If you have a vehicle and a valid licence, you can sign up today.

There is no separate tricycle type in the app, so a keke doesn't have an exact match today — motorcycle and car are what's available.

Okada riders: the option is live, and nobody is using it yet

Motorcycle taxi is the most underserved corner of app-based transport in Nigeria. The bike apps — Gokada, MAX, ORide, SafeBoda, UberMoto — have all left passenger rides or left the country, and Bolt and inDrive are car apps. Intra Cab has Motorcycle switched on today for riders and drivers, with no commission, and as of October 2026 there is not one motorcycle driver on it in Nigeria. A bike request only goes to bike drivers, so the first okada riders to sign up where okada is legal will see every request in their area.

Where it is legal matters. Okada is banned outright in ten Lagos LGAs (Ikeja, Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland, Surulere, Eti-Osa, Apapa, Kosofe, Oshodi-Isolo, Somolu, Mushin) and on the state's expressways and bridges, restricted in central Abuja, and banned in Kano and Port Harcourt. It is legal and regulated in Ibadan (5:30am to 10:30pm, with state registration) and runs on inner roads in the rest of Lagos. Don't quote on a trip you can't legally do.

How to start

Drive when it suits you

No shifts, no minimum hours, no penalty for going quiet. Open the app when you want work. Need to stop for a while — food, fuel, family, a church or mosque service? Pause new trip requests for a few hours and nothing will come through until you're ready.

Common questions

How much commission does Intra Cab take from drivers in Nigeria?
None. The fare you quote in naira is the fare you keep. Riders pay you directly in cash at the end of the trip, so Intra Cab never handles your money and there is no wallet to cash out.

Who can sign up to drive in Nigeria?
Anyone in Nigeria with a vehicle and a valid driver's licence. You do not need to be attached to a fleet or a car-hire scheme and there is no waiting list. You can drive a car, a bus, or a motorcycle.

Who decides the fare?
You do. A rider posts where they are going, and you send the price you will do that trip for. The rider sees your offer alongside other drivers' offers and picks one. No algorithm sets your price and there is no surge to wait for.

What do I need to start driving?
A car, bus or motorcycle, a valid driver's licence, a smartphone with data, a selfie holding your licence next to your face (that is how your identity is verified), and a photo of your vehicle. You sign up in the app and can start seeing nearby ride requests once your details are approved, usually within minutes.

How long does driver approval take?
If the selfie with your licence checks out automatically, you are approved as soon as your vehicle details are in, usually within a few minutes. If a photo could not be checked automatically, a person reviews it, normally the same day.

Can I drive for Intra Cab and Bolt, inDrive or LagRide at the same time?
Yes. There is no exclusivity. The sensible way to start is to keep whatever you drive for now and run Intra Cab alongside it, taking extra trips when they come.

Can I drive an okada or a keke on Intra Cab?
Motorcycles, yes: the Motorcycle option is live for riders and drivers, and right now there is not a single motorcycle driver on Intra Cab in Nigeria, so a bike request near you is yours alone to answer. There is no separate tricycle type in the app, so a keke does not have an exact match today. Okada is banned outright in ten Lagos LGAs and on the state's expressways and bridges, restricted in central Abuja, and banned in Kano and Port Harcourt; it is legal and regulated in Ibadan and on inner roads in the rest of Lagos. It is your responsibility to know and follow the rules where you ride, and you should not quote on a trip you cannot legally do.

Do I have to drive fixed hours?
No. There are no shifts, no daily target and no minimum hours. Open the app when you want to drive, and pause new trip requests for a few hours whenever you need a break.

Being straight with you about where we are

Intra Cab has only just opened in Nigeria. There is no rider waiting on every corner yet, and Bolt, inDrive and LagRide have years of head start in Lagos (Uber left Nigeria in September 2026, which is why it isn't in that list). If you already drive for one of them, or for yourself, the sensible move is to run Intra alongside what you do now rather than instead of it — extra trips when it suits you, with nothing given up and nothing taken off the top.

The more drivers on the app, the faster riders get an offer, and the more often they come back. Right now there is almost nobody in the queue, so the first drivers in each area see every request that comes through. Joining early counts for more than it will later.
